Dermaplaning Facial Treatment
As we age, our cell turnover naturally decreases and this affects our skin texture and tone. Dermaplaning gently buffs the top layer of dead skin cells away, helping to reveal a brighter and smoother complexion and leaving skin ultra-smooth and perfectly prepped for make-up, so it takes on an “airbrushed” finish. Dermaplaning is a gentle and effective way to exfoliate, without the harshness of a dermabrasion treatment on the skin.
Dead skin cells can make our complexion look dull and contribute to clogged pores and spots. Dermaplaning clears that away so that skin peels, facials, skin products and serums can work properly and effectively deep down into the skin, rather than sitting on the skin’s surface. It also removes peach fuzz/vellus (fine) hair on the face and creates clear channels into the skin as well as a soft, smooth surface for makeup to glide on flawlessly.
Will dermaplaning make my facial hair grow?
No, the ‘peach fuzz’ is not like the hair on your legs or on your head which is terminal hair. It can not be stimulated to grow or appear thicker because of this treatment, so you can rest assured you will not end up with any further hair growth on your face.
